東京藝術大学器楽科ピアノ専攻卒業。ウィーン国立音楽大学大学院ピアノ演奏科を審査員満場一致の最優秀で卒業。ミュンスター音楽大学にて、ドイツ国家演奏家資格過程終了。
第4回ウィーン国立音楽大学ヨーゼフ・ディヒラーコンクール第2位。ヴァル・ティドーネ国際音楽コンクール(イタリア)第5位、シュリッツピアノアカデミー国際コンクール(ドイツ)第3位、ライプツィヒ・シューマンハウス賞、ヘッセンムジークアカデミー賞受賞、ロータリークラブ奨学金授与。第16回ショパン国際ピアノコンクール(ワルシャワ)においてディプロマ賞受賞、審査終了後、審査員のマルタ・アルゲリッチ氏より賞賛を受ける。スタインウェイコンクール（ドイツ）第３位受賞。トレロドネス国際音楽フォーラムフェスティバル(マドリード)に招待されショパンのピアノ協奏曲１番を演奏。また、仙台フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、NHK交響楽団のメンバーと室内楽で共演。平成21年度文化庁新進芸術家海外研修生。これまでに、オーストリア（ウィーン、ザルツブルク）、スペイン（マドリード、バルセロナ、バレンシア）、ポーランド（ワルシャワ）、ベルギー（アントワープ）、ドイツ（フランクフルト、ミュンスター）、リトアニア（ヴィリニュス、ニダ、プルンジェ、シャウレイ）、UAE（ドバイ、アブダビ）、カタール（ドーハ）、レバノン（ベイルート）、エジプト（カイロ）、クウェート（クウェート）、イラン（テヘラン）、チュニジア（チュニス）でのリサイタルに出演。コンサートツアーでは本格的なソロリサイタルに加え、現地の音楽学生へのマスターコース、子供たちへのコンサート等、音楽を通じて国際交流にも携わり、各国で好評を博す。
CHANEL Pygmalion Daysアーティストに選出。NHK-FM「リサイタル ノヴァ」に出演。
これまでに三ツ橋敬子指揮セントラル愛知交響楽団定期演奏会、名古屋フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、現田茂夫指揮神奈川フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、西本智美指揮神奈川フィルハーモニー、松村秀明指揮九州交響楽団、岩村力指揮東京シティ・フィル等と共演を重ねる。
2013年～2024年、ベーゼンドルファージャパンにて、インペリアルピアノレッスン講師。「Gold der Stadt Graz」国際コンクールにて、「The Best Teacher」賞受賞。ＰＴＮＡピアノコンペティション審査員等も務める。Steinway teacher and educational partnerとして、後進の指導にもあたる。
2015年日本アコースティックレコーズより、デビューCD「J First」を、2018年2ndアルバム「J Second」をリリース。
これまでに藤井博子、笠間春子、青柳晋、田部京子、フェルナンド・プチョール、海老彰子、アキレス・デレ＝ヴィーニェ、アルヌルフ・フォン・アルニム、ヤン・イラチェク・フォン・アルニムの各氏に師事。

Junna Iwasaki was born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Tokyo University of the Arts and went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance (Klavier Konzertfach) at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, graduating with distinction. She continued her studies in Germany, where she received the prestigious Konzertexamen degree. She was also selected as a delegate for overseas study by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs.
As Junna Iwasaki pursued her career in Europe, she won numerous prizes in international piano competitions. She was awarded second prize at the Josef Dichler Piano Competition in Vienna and was a prizewinner at the Pianale International Piano Academy (Germany), the Val Tidone International Music Competition (Italy), and the Steinway Competition (Germany). In 2010, she received the Diploma Award at the 16th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw. Martha Argerich, a jury member of the competition, gave her special praise for her performance, and the same comment was later made in a media interview.
Junna Iwasaki was also selected as a CHANEL Pygmalion Days Artist. She was invited to perform at a concert commemorating the 200th anniversary of Franz Liszt’s birth at the Musikverein in Vienna. Additionally, she appeared on the NHK-FM radio program Recital Nova, which was broadcast nationwide in Japan.
Recognized as one of Japan’s leading pianists of her generation, Junna has established an international career as a concert artist. She has been invited to perform solo recitals and give masterclasses in numerous cities across Europe and the Middle East, including Vienna, Salzburg, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Warsaw, Antwerp, Frankfurt, Positano, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Kuwait City, Cairo, Beirut, Tehran, and Tunis.
In 2015, Junna released her debut album, J First, followed by her secondalbum, J Second, in 2018, both under Nippon Acoustic Records. She has taught at the Bösendorfer Imperial Masterclass Series in Tokyo and at Piano Academy Online in Germany and Japan. Her students have won prizes in international piano competitions, and she was awarded the Best Teacher Prize at the International Competition in Graz, Austria. She currently serves as a jury member for the PTNA Piano Competitions.
Her teachers include Hiroko Fujii, Haruko Kasama, Susumu Aoyagi, Kyoko Tabe, Akiko Ebi, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Meinhard Prinz, Jan Jiracek von Arnim, and Arnulf von Arnim.
